Naew Na reported that Chiang Saen immigration, local and tourist police responded to calls from the public about a foreign man creating a disturbance in the parking lot of a hotel in Wiang sub-district. This is in Chiang Rai in the far north of Thailand. A Chinese man who looked like he was drunk or on drugs was shouting loudly and creating annoyance. The officials identified themselves then took Fan Hongbin, 51, aside to calm down. A body search and search of his room revealed the presence of 19 yaba (amphetamine mixed with caffeine, a drug of choice in Thailand). He admitted to buying the drugs two days prior and taking them.
