Two former fighters of the Russian private military company Wagner have told CNN of their horrific experiences on the battlefield in eastern Ukraine, and how anyone who faltered was immediately shot by their own commanders.

The two fighters were captured by Ukrainian forces late last year. CNN is not disclosing their identities for their own safety.

There is no sense in this war .

Only Putin is responsible for this , because of his dreams of becoming " Vladimir the great " by restoring the borders of the old Soviet Union .

Russia needs to lose this war .

If they would win , Putin would not stop there ... he needs to ' disappear ' . The sooner the better .

And interesting that private military groups are illegal in Russia. Unless Putin hires you, of course.
