Accident 15-Year-Old Boy Drowns While Swimming with Friends During School Holidays
Picture courtesy of Kaoded. A 15-year-old boy has drowned after swimming with a group of friends at a weir in Nong Phak Pang, Phu Khiao District, during the ongoing school holidays. This marks the second fatal drowning of a child in the province in recent weeks, prompting officials to call for stricter parental supervision. The incident occurred around 16:00 on 7 May, when police from Phu Khiao Police Station and rescue volunteers from the Sawang Kunatham Chaiyaphum Foundation were alerted to the disappearance of a teenager who had been swept underwater while swimming in the overflow weir. A total of five boys, all students on their school break, had reportedly gone swimming together. According to reports, the 15-year-old victim was suddenly pulled under in front of his friends, who screamed for help from nearby residents. Rescue teams from both Phu Khiao and nearby Kaeng Khro districts were mobilised to search the weir. After more than two hours of underwater searching, the boy’s body was recovered just before 18:00. His body was handed over to his family for religious rites. The weir where the drowning occurred is known for its treacherous conditions, with water depths ranging from 1 metre at the edges to over 25 metres at the centre. This marks the second child drowning in Chaiyaphum province during the current school holiday period, following a similar incident in Thep Sathit District earlier this month. In response, provincial authorities have issued renewed warnings to all village and community leaders to closely monitor children during the school break. Parents are being urged to supervise their children and discourage unsupervised swimming, especially in natural water bodies. “Every year during the school holidays, we see a tragic rise in drowning incidents involving children,” a provincial spokesperson said. “We implore all parents and guardians to keep a close eye on their children and strictly prohibit them from swimming alone or without adult supervision.” Adapted by Asean Now from Kaoded 2025-05-09. -

The alarming mental decline of Donald J. Trump -- watch this space
That was one of the reasons I never voted for Trump in the primaries. I think the perfect area of age for a leader is between 55-65. Most of us are still 100% mentally and can take the physical toll of being president for 4 years. On Vance we'll see. I'm hoping that near the end of Trumps term we see either massive improvement in our governments spending/income and debt AND an economy picking up steam from the bottom up. If so perhaps Vance needs to be considered. If as the leftists like to think instead we are entering into a massive decline then I would entertain a DEM candidate. But they would have to disavow all the crazy far left stuff that has taken over their party. If not I'd have to vote for Ghengis Khan over a DEM. And for gods sake they MUST have a candidate better than Kamala. That has to be the worst candidate put on the ballot in my life. -

Angelina Jolie’s father ‘knockout blow’ to the UK industry: Trump's tariffs
Yeah, by trying to strong-arm and bullying them into it, which will cause a knee jerk reaction out of spite. He’s the worst president they ever had! -

Correctional Officer Admits Guilt in Brutal Beating Death of Inmate Robert Brooks
I meant that in an official manner, not prison justice. I’d be very surprised, if he didn’t get segregation, so he might get around prison justice. -

Trump’s Threats Push Greenlanders Closer to Denmark
Given the average income of a Greenlander is higheer than the income of the average American, I guess the price for an American to become, say, Chinese, is even lower. $1 million really isn't that much in 2025. I know it seems like a lot when you are subsisting on 2 bottles of Chang, half a bottle of Hong Thong and a bowl of rice a day, but its not really. And you are suggesting the US should spend $24 billion in bribes, plus mining costs, to secure a supply of not rare rare earths, where the total global demand will be $8bn tops. Essentially, you are suggesting theft. Most Americans are not, by instinct, thieves and murderers. The valuation of Greenland is more like $2.7 trillion. Excluding the oil and gas. https://www.americanactionforum.org/research/pricing-greenland-the-essence-of-the-deal/ In order to offer 66% of Greenlanders a fair price for their land (the % necessary for you to steal a referendum), American taxpayers will need to come up with $32 million per bribed Eskimo. And that's a bargain, because you are getting the oil and gas for free.
