Pentagon confirms F-16 fighter jet shot down an airborne object over Lake Huron

The Pentagon confirmed Sunday that an F-16 fighter jet shot down an airborne object over Lake Huron earlier in the day. 

The Pentagon said the object was not assessed to be a military threat, but it was a flight hazard.

“We did not assess it to be a kinetic military threat to anything on the ground, but assess it was a safety flight hazard and a threat due to its potential surveillance capabilities.

Msm was reporting this one was down at 20,000 feet that’s definitely in the path of commercial aviation not good

Just what is a object??? A bird, a plane, a balloon what??? Show us some pictures before it is shot down. If you don't have any answers maybe we can help you.

lol I don’t think they need our help I’m sure they have lots of photos they just don’t want us to see them yet most likely they want to study the debris first

From the CNN link in the OP which also happens to be live updates, it appears this object went over some sensitive sites.

 

"Based on its flight path and data we can reasonably connect this object to the radar signal picked up over Montana, which flew in proximity to sensitive DOD sites,” he said."
