Daily News reported from a parking lot in central Bangkok where a tree known as the Devil Tree fell on three police vehicles.

 

It happened at the Royal Thai Police headquarters off Rama 1 in Pathumwan, central Bangkok.

Yesterday was a blustery one for the Thai capital with unseasonally heavy rains and high winds.

This afternoon sees the twice monthly drawing of the state lottery.

Daily News were speculating in the story about which of the numbers might be drawn.

 

Such events are seen as portents and they reported a long line of people inquiring about the numbers and scurrying off to buy the requisite tickets.
