Online advance booking of train tickets now requires credit or debit card

From today (Thursday), passengers who make online advance bookings for train tickets, through the D-Ticket website of the State Railway of Thailand or through its application, must pay for the tickets with their credit or debit cards.

A British traveller has been left with a hospital bill of approximately £40,000 after she was left for dead on the side of the road in Thailand.

Krabi Checking Modified Long-Tail Boats After 3 Capsizes In 2 Months

AROUND 70-80 modified long-tail boats have been called in for inspection by the Marine Department’s office in Krabi after three of them capsized in two months killing two foreign tourists with many others injured, Matichon newspaper said this afternoon (Feb. 16).

Siam Rath said they were contacted by the parents of a child and the four year old boy's grandmother after they were unhappy with the service at a private hospital in Rangsit, north of the Thai capital Bangkok. The hospital was not named.

33 lecturers pass off purchased research papers as their own work

Thirty-three lecturers at eight of Thailand’s universities have been found to have submitted research papers bought from some overseas institutes, claiming that they are their own work, Professor Dr. Sirirurg Songsivilai, permanent secretary of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovations, told the media today (Friday).
