The building looks almost ready to go with the Thai flag flying, although a huge sculpture alongside is yet to take its final form.  The new Phetchaburi Immigration offices are taking shape and looking good with Khao Nang Panthurat Forest Park in the background.

Apologies, but we are yet to have GPS direction and we don’t know when the offices will be open.  That should be a matter of weeks, however it seems staff at the current Tha Yang location are also waiting for the announcement.

The new location is likely to be much more convenient for Cha-Am expats or temporary residents, being around 10 road kilometres from Cha-Am and around 3 kilometres inland from Phetchakasim Road, however that’s quite a bit further to travel from Phetchaburi city than Tha Yang.

Of course, we’ll pass on the news when the opening date is announced with GPS directions, but 90 day reporting from Cha-Am should soon become much easier!

I am always wondering why so far from the mainroad in a rural area....looks good, but far from Phetchaburi city, and for the people working in Kao Yoi, (near Ratchaburi) even further... almost can go to immgration Hua Hin now asnot so far apart anymore

As far as I understood, you can only go to HuaHin immigration if you are living in PratchuapKirikan.

If living in Phetchaburi, you have to go to TaYang or soon to ChaAm

"with tourist extending"  ... I believe you can do that at any Imm Office.
