July 2, 200719 yr Hi Everyone, My Girlfriend was granted her 6 month Visitors Visa on March 15th she returned home yesterday We are going to get married and had planned to do so in the U.K in December on a Fiance Visa. The V.V expires on Sept 15th so can we apply for a Fiance Visa now? All comments welcome, thanks Phill
July 2, 200719 yr Yes, Phil, you can. However, in addition to the evidence of support, accommodation, and contact, make sure you have an idea of a wedding plan which you can show to the visa officer. You should be in a position to say where will you marry, on which date, whether you will have a reception, if so, where it will be, how many people are going to attend and whether you've booked a venue. Scouse.

Thanks Scouse Sorry another question! My girlfriend was married before and has a 5 year old Daughter who since march has lived with her family but previously was with the fathers family. On the V.V application she did not mention her because she never thought she could get her daughter back from the father "it's a long story" Anyway is this going to cause a problem on the next application because we hope for her daughter to come too?
July 3, 200719 yr It will depend upon whether the visa officer actually bothers to cross-check with the visit visa application form. If he does, then there's going to be some explaining to do. When are you thinking of applying for the daughter to come to the UK? Scouse.

Probably in January or febuary next year,my GF wants her to finish her first years schooling in Thailand,so she can read and right Thai before getting an English education
July 4, 200719 yr In which case, declare the daughter on the fiancée visa application, and see if it is queried. If it is, you'll have to explain why she was not previously declared on the visit application in addition to providing her birth certificate to demonstrate that your fiancée is her mother. Scouse.
