Authorities seized 1.4 million speed pills and 25 kilograms of cannabis buds that were left on the bank of the mekong river by fleeing smugglers., 


Marines spotted a long-tailed boat moored on the river, Several men were seen carrying something on shore.
The men fled when soldiers approached leaving their haul behind,


Authorities say the pills were poor quality and could be a health risk.

 

A KASETSART University professor presented a research paper that claims air pollution from PM2.5 particles caused over 2 trillion baht in economic damage to Thai households in 2019.


and if all 5 major pollutants are included the total reached well over  4 trillion baht, 


The paper stated that air pollution affected households in all Thai provinces except Phuket.

 

The National Human Rights Commission, claims the Department of National Parks is breaching the human rights of Karen ethnic minorities residing in Phetchaburi's 'Kaeng Krachan' district. The commission asserts that under the 2017 constitution, these villagers have the right to remain in their homes. Despite being instructed to vacate the premises within park confines since 1996, some locals have defied the orders and persisted in their quest to stay.


A leading doctor has advised the Thai red cross that provisions of RH-Negative blood are in short supply. 
RH Negative blood type is rarely found in the Thai population but is more common overseas,  He has encouraged expats with this blood type to donate, so there can be reserves to deal with emergencies involving westoners.
