Daily News Thai Caption: Mental health problems

Daily News reported on a serious assault on a woman named only as "Mai", 23, who went to the house of a woman given the name "Ann" at the weekend.

The case came to light after Mai went for help to Ekkaphop Leuanagprasert who runs the social action group Sai Mai Tong Rort.

Mai said that she was on the point of dozing off when a carbonated drink was gushed down her nose.

Waking and understandably being angry at the elders present she was assaulted by Ann, sworn at then viciously attacked by ten others.

She suffered severe facial bruising, cuts and a fractured skull as well as bruises to her body.

She was told not to bother reporting it as one of the attackers had a relative in the local police.

She was taken to file a report with the Bang Plee police and took a turn for the worse and was taken to hospital.

Suffering from mental health problems and stress she was taken away for medical help as reporters followed the story.

The Bang Plee police in Samut Prakan promised a fair investigation into the case despite the police relative claim saying they had CCTV evidence pointing to the culprits.
