Models of Integrity: Why Thailand Needs More Women Sports Stars

image.png

Professional sports have long been a male-dominated arena. Both regionally and globally, this prevailing domination of the playing field by men disadvantages women and girls from media to participation. A European Union study of five countries found the percentage of media coverage for women’s professional sports was, at best, 14 percent, and, at worst, as low as 2 percent.

General Election turns into a referendum on Pot as Chuwit calls on the public to kick out Bhumjaithai
by Joseph O' Connor

image.jpeg

Whistleblower extraordinaire Chuwit Kamolvisit has thrown down the gauntlet in an all-out attack on the Bhumjaithai Party and its leader Anutin Charnvirakul. He has called on the public to treat the May election as a referendum on pot as other parties including Pheu Thai Party and presumed PM nominee Paetongtarn Shinawatra smell blood over the Bhumjaithai Party’s and Anutin’s controversial push to decriminalise cannabis or marijuana which is fast rising to the top of the General Election agenda together with corruption and the economy.

Cannabis policy is turning into an electoral nightmare for the Bhumjaithai Party with growing public opposition to the recreational free for all and the easy access to it being seen throughout the country, something that is now being plugged into by opposition parties and activist firebrand Chuwit Kamolvisit.
