Bangkok Woman Seeks Compensation After Six-Pack Liposuction Dispute A 44-year-old Thai woman is seeking legal action against a Bangkok beauty clinic after undergoing a “six-pack” liposuction procedure that she says left her abdomen distorted, uneven and wrinkled instead of giving her the defined appearance advertised. The woman, identified as Ying, said she initially saw an online promotion offering the procedure for 39,999 baht and decided to proceed after being impressed by the clinic's social media presence. However, she claims staff told her shortly before surgery that she needed to pay an additional 70,000 baht or risk being left with a loose and uneven abdomen. She agreed to the additional payment, but after the operation said the promised six-pack definition never appeared. Another doctor later reportedly told her corrective surgery could cost around 300,000 baht. Ying returned to the original clinic with a lawyer seeking compensation, but says the doctor maintained that the result was satisfactory and offered further treatment instead. She declined, saying she no longer trusted the clinic. A consumer protection group now plans to submit the case to relevant authorities and seek an investigation into the clinic and the doctor's licences.
