Gold shop robber foiled at downtown Chiang Rai mall

Police from Ban Du station are looking for a man who tried to grab a tray of gold at a shop in a Muang district mall yesterday.

 

As staff were putting their jewely away a man made a grab for a tray but was thwarted by quick thinking staff.

 

He was dressed in black with grey sneakers and a white cap.

He fled the scene empty handed.

 

Police expect a quick arrest, reported Siam Rath.
