webfact
Picture: Daily News Daily News reported on the fallout from the death of a police lieutenant colonel who fired numerous shots inside and outside his house in Sai Mai district of Bangkok last week. Pol Lt-Col Kittikarn Saengbun was ultimately killed by police commandos. The family have filed a complaint with the Sai Mai police. Yesterday spokesman Pol Maj-Gen Achayon Kraithong said that RTP chief Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittipraphat was very sorry about what happened and that no one wanted this outcome. Picture: Daily News Achayon said that the incident involved not just police but medics and mental health staff who all did their best. The safety of all concerned and that of members of the public was paramount. The agitated officer died despite everyone's best efforts. However, Damrongsak has order a full and transparent investigation into the incident from all angles. A lawyer representing the parents of the 51 year old officer think that commandos went too far in ending the standoff. They want public prosecutors to join the police investigation to ensure justice, print media reported today. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-03-21 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m.
