Popular Post ezzra
Distractions of all kinds while driving or operating a machinery is a major cause of large numbers of death in many countries, and in many countries getting caught on the phone while driving will get you a big fine and demerit point. 2 1

Popular Post RobU
I have no sympathy. He is a well deserved recipient of the Darwin award (removing himself from the human gene pool thus increasing it's quality). A danger to other road users and pedestrians, a good job this idiot only killed himself he could have easily killed or maimed other people in his stupidity. I feel sympathy for the owner of the sedan who probably has to pay for the repairs him/herself since i expect the motorcyclist doesn't have any insurance. 4

Popular Post spidermike007
Ask yourself one thing. Is my life already complicated enough, without a serious bike accident? Darwin insisted that some species and some members of those species were more fit for survival than others. It would appear the roads here, and especially motorbike riders, are a perfect example of his theories in action. It takes certain qualities to survive on the roads here. Patience, being very conscious of your surroundings, driving defensively, avoiding excessive speed, especially in town, following basic traffic rules and laws and avoiding being overly stupid, at all times. Many Thais are extremely casual about driving, and seem to have little understanding of the dangers involved, and the need to be 100% focused, at all times. Especially on a motorbike. 3 5

Popular Post aussienam
Was a Thai woman in front of me riding a scooter last night on Pattaya Tai, had a toddler on her lap and she was at the same time using her mobile phone. Head down looking at phone and distracted with heavy traffic. I thought she's going to be dead soon along with her kid. Stupid dumb fools. 3 1

So yes, she was partly responsible by talking to him knowing it was dangerous to do so.
SirHonkersTheFirst
Was driving to Hanoi this morning at 5am, on a highway from Haiphong, always super busy with container trucks and all manner of other vehicles. Now I'm not sure who's worse - the Thais or the Viets, but the Viets IMHO are <deleted> horrendous. Traffic came to a near halt, and we all proceeded past what must be a daily occurrence - a lifeless corspe with his head split open like a watermelon, lying on the road. Methinks he went under a truck. Haven't seen a fresh corspe in decades. May well have some nightmares tonight. Honestly, the way some people drive - they don't deserve the right to use the road or operate anything with wheels, besides a wheelbarrow.

There 's a lot of nearly new motorbikes/ scooter's in town with blown bulbs, as a young Thai teenager told me if u show lights on your bike at night you"re chicken, so they remove the bulb,

Driving back from Korat yesterday I was aware of the numerous speed cameras on highway 304. Every time I obeyed the speed limit I was instantly tail gated. Cars and motor bikes don't worry me, it's those 36 wheelers that can cause all sorts of carnage.

It's the idiots on the phone. Google and Apple don't tell them to use their phones when they ride on motorcycles!
