Fire Safety Inspectors?

Crossy

Recommended Posts

The emergency exits from our office building are physically blocked by flammable rubbish and thus rendered unusable. Building management are taking the typical Thai attitude that you only need the exit if there's a fire, there is no fire so no problem.

Is there any authority that can be persuaded to inspect and, more importantly, actually force these idiots to do something?

I know, TiT, but having been trapped by a fire once (in an underground facility, not pleasant) I have no wish to repeat the experience.

Not just offices.

When you stay in a hotel, take a minute to check out the fire exit.

They are often locked or blocked with the tables a chairs for the banquet room. :o

I would first contact the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. They have safety inspectors for occupational safety and health issues and may be able to assist.

Failing that, contact the Ministry of Public Health who should be able to provide guidance on who to contact.
