Former President Donald Trump has arrived in New York City a day before he is expected to turn himself in to law enforcement and face more than 30 criminal charges in a Manhattan court following last week's historic grand jury indictment.

Trump's lawyers told a New York judge Monday they oppose the request by media outlets to broadcast Tuesday's arraignment. The judge said he expects to issue a decision tonight. Several media outlets, including CNN, have also asked the judge to make the indictment public.

Personally I hope they put a gag order on it so the law can take its course without making a spectacle of it trump he has allready received to much attention as it is .there are much more important things to keep up on

The experts are also of that opinion:

A gag order for Donald Trump is 'extremely likely' once he's before a judge, legal expert says

Trump Should Not Take the Stand, Lacks 'All Self-Control': Bill Barr

While speaking on Fox News Sunday, Barr was asked if he would advise Trump to take the stand. Barr responded, "generally I think it's a bad idea to go on the stand, I think it is a particularly bad idea for Trump because he lacks all self-control."

While speaking to Newsweek, trial attorney Jim Hattaway said, "Trump will likely not take the stand, as I advise my clients, every word out of your mouth is a bullet that can be fired back at you, in Trump's case, it would be a machine gun of incriminating statements."

"If a client is going to testify, they have to know everything about the case, they have to be prepared for every contingency that the prosecutor will throw at them. Trump doesn't have that ability," Hattaway continued.

Exclusive: Trump to be charged Tuesday with 34 felony counts, but spared handcuffs and mug shot

Donald Trump will be placed under arrest on Tuesday and informed that he has been charged with 34 felony counts for falsification of business records, according to a source who has been briefed on the procedures for the arraignment of the former president.

A New York City Police arrest report summarizing the charges against Trump will then be prepared and entered into the court system before he is led into a courtroom to be formally arraigned on the charges, none of which are misdemeanors.

But, the source said, Trump will not be put in handcuffs, placed in a jail cell or subjected to a mug shot — typical procedures even for white-collar defendants until a judge has weighed in on pretrial conditions.
