The Southeast Asian Games takes place from 5-17 May with the region’s best athletes competing in iconic locations such as Phnom Penh and World Heritage Site Angkor Wat. Here are three things to know about Cambodia 2023.

 

The Opening Ceremony of the 32nd edition of the Southeast Asian Games takes place on Friday 5 May in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The following 12 days will see the region’s best athletes endeavour to secure titles, achieve personal bests, and showcase the best sport in the area, with iconic Cambodian locations as the backdrop.

 

With Paris 2024 just 15 months away, preparation for athletes in a multi-sport environment and jostling for potential Olympic spots in front of national federations is key. In anticipation of the high-profile occasion, Olympics.com highlights three things to know about Cambodia 2023.
