Samut Prakan police escort 27-year-old Niran Thammathawee back from a local fish pond in the Bang Bo District area of Samut Prakan on Saturday afternoon after discovering a bag he discarded there on Thursday which told a story of mean and bloody murder.

On Saturday afternoon, last police brought the man back to an overgrown area near a fish pond in a nearby village where he had discarded a bag containing the knife used to kill the woman, bloodied clothes and empty boxes which previously contained the gold he had stolen from the condominium unit in a building where he used to work. When opened, police sources say the bag reeked of blood telling its own tale of a horrific crime.

Police in Samut Prakan arrest a man who brutally murdered a young woman in a planned robbery that went wrong last Thursday morning. The case, which was solved within 48 hours, was one driven by greed and a lust for gold which the young woman was known to keep at her condominium in the Phra Pradaeng area of the province near Bangkok.

Let him off - it's quite clearly the woman's fault ! At least that is what he will plead

It is a shame that people have to be more careful wearing gold, jewelry and expensive watches these days. But, I think we have to accept the reality that 8 years of the PED (Prayuth economic decimation) has caused more desperation, more poverty, and more crime. At least we know who to blame for this recent trend.

I have not had that experience. The mods here seem to be quite open minded and reasonable, these days. I found it much worse back in the days of TV. It bordered on oppressive.
