The ship sails under the Maltese flag and has four ship-to-shore tenders, each able to carry over 100 passengers and is the first cruise ship to bring tourists to Hua Hin since 1970.

This morning Guido Campignotto, Food and Beverage Manager at the Monsoon Valley Vineyard, joined the red-carpet welcoming party with the Director of the Tourism Association Thailand Dr Sangchan, the Chief of Tourist Police and Director of the Health Authority.

A fleet of big buses were on hand, with reports that the visitors were heading for the Centara hotel, then with some free time to roam the city.  Guido, along with many others in the regional hospitality scene, is hoping this will be the first of many such cruise ship visits, with his wish that Monsoon Valley will be included in future itineraries.

The ship will be remaining in Hua Hin waters until 17.00 hours, before sailing to Laem Chabang (Bangkok) and nearby islands then on to Singapore.
