Bangkok - Colonel Sukrit Mangkhalasawat, Superintendent of the Huay Kwang Police Station, ordered the arrest of Mr. Napatsara, a 30-year-old ladyboy. She was accused of nighttime burglary and was apprehended in a room in the Charansanitwong area, Bangkok.

The victim, a 30-year-old Sri Lankan tourist, reported the incident to investigators at the Huai Khwang Police Station on April 9. He stated that at around 4 a.m., he had been drinking at a liquor store in the Asok Montri area when he met the accused, reported Daily News.

They decided to go to a room in the Huai Khwang area to rest due to severe intoxication. By 8 a.m., the tourist sobered up and discovered that his $5,500 in cash (equivalent to approximately 189,000 Thai Baht) had been stolen, and the accused had fled the scene. He then decided to file a complaint.

Subsequently, investigators from the Huai Khwang Police Station gathered evidence, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Mr. Napatsara.

The accused was arrested, but initially denied the allegations. Officers have filed charges according to the arrest warrant and handed the case over to the investigator for further prosecution.

Bangkok Police arrested a Thai transwoman for stealing US$5,500 (189,000 baht) from a Sri Lankan tourist two weeks’ ago.

The Sri Lankan victim, 30 year old Suras, filed a complaint at Huay Kwang Police Station on Sunday, April 9 after discovering that his money was missing. Suras said that he drank alcohol at a bar in the Asoke neighbourhood with the suspect, later identified as 30 year old Naphatsara or Lookpad, at 4am.

Suras admitted that he was very drunk, and he and Lookpad went to his hotel in the Huay Kwang area. Suras claimed that he had sex with Lookpad and then fell asleep. However, when he woke up at 8am, Lookpad had disappeared along with his money of US$5,500.

Officers from Huay Kwang Police Station eventually arrested Lookpad at her dormitory in the Charan Sanit Wong area of Bangkok where she denied the accusation.

Anyone drinking at 4am with $5500 USD in his pocket is asking for trouble.

Ever heard of a Bank or Hotel safe?

Again I ask. This is news?

It happens every day. It's probably rarely reported out of fear of embarrassment.

I see.............lol.

What was he doing walking around with 5k USD in his pocket?   Seems odd.

Learned long ago to hide/lock all valuables before going out drinking. Even if I black out, the worst they can steal is the cash in my pockets. But unlike ladyboys, girls don't normally steal - almost never happens and if they do it's stupid small stuff like a pack of condoms or a mini-fan.

Agree with you. But....if you're planning to take ANY stranger (male, female or indifferent ????) back to your room it's sensible to check all your valuables are secured BEFORE going out for the evening whether you drink a lot or not.

But still managed a bit of hanky panky!

Welcome to the jungle.

He definitely is ????????????

I've not taken a girl back to a hotel room for years in Bangkok, if it was a hotel he went back to they used to take their ID card, does that still happen?

What is this famed ladyboy insurance?

I need to contact my agent and make sure I get me some.

Seems more lucrative than bitcoin right now.

Perhaps he/she needed the money to transition to a no-he-she...
