BANGKOK (NNT) - The American School of Bangkok Sukhumvit Campus (ASB) is proud to announce its new partnership with XCL Education, a leading education group dedicated to providing innovative and high-quality education to students across Southeast Asia. With a shared commitment to student success, energy, innovation, and excellence, the partnership aims to propel ASB to new heights and establish it as a top American school in Southeast Asia.

For over 40 years, ASB has been known for its rigorous academic programs, including Advanced Placement courses and the Capstone Diploma offering, as well as its commitment to embracing change and incorporating innovations necessary for students to become exemplary scholars and successful leaders of tomorrow. The school has welcomed students from approximately 40 countries and boasts a diverse alumni community working across various professional fields.

Under the leadership of XCL Education’s Group CEO, Brian Rogove, ASB Sukhumvit will continue to build on its current success and tap into the strong legacy of ASB. As an example, XCL Education will invest heavily in academic programs and facilities, training and upskilling teachers, and introducing leading-edge methodologies to prepare students for the future and shape them into global citizens, contributors, and leaders.

Recently, Mr. Sean P. O’Maonaigh was appointed as the Head of School for XCL Thailand schools, including ASB Sukhumvit Campus. With 35 years of experience in international education, Mr. O’Maonaigh brings a wealth of expertise to his role and is committed to personalized learning for each individual student, growth of individual abilities, and organizational capacity for planned sustainable institutional improvement.

ASB students will benefit from increased learning opportunities and experiences, including group-wide events in talent, sports/esports, entrepreneurship, internships, and academic exchanges. XCL Dialogues will also provide students, teachers, staff, and parents across the group with a unique opportunity to hear, learn, and be inspired by some of the best minds and achievers in the world. The school will undergo significant enhancements, including campus facilities and environmental aesthetics development, acquisition of high-quality academic teaching and learning materials, and improvements in campus security protocols and communication channels with parents and students.

The most visible and immediate change to ASB will be the renaming of the school to XCL American School of Bangkok (XCL ASB) and a modernized school logo capturing the school’s forward-thinking outlook. ‘XCL’ is a gramogram of the word excel, derived from the latin word ‘celsus’ which means to rise and surpass. It reflects the mission and values of the school in striving for excellence, alongside supporting a diverse and multicultural community, as well as the global perspective that the school seeks to embed in every child’s learning.

ASB and XCL Education are excited about the new opportunities that the partnership will bring to current and prospective families looking to experience a high-quality American school in Bangkok located in the heart of the Sukhumvit area. Together, they are committed to building future leaders who will shape what’s next for them and for the world.
