UPS with solar input

Featured Replies

My CyberPower UPS (uninterruptible power supply) is now two years old, and backup has gone from 20 mins to 2 seconds.

When looking for a new one I came across this product

https://voltronicpower.com/en-US/Product/Detail/Solar-Online-UPS-1KVA-3KVA

a UPS with solar panels, that prioritizes solar, battery, grid.
Can anyone recommend a small one? (500 W for 10 mins to save my work and power down)

Your existing UPS probably just needs batteries, usually readily available sealed lead-acid.

The Voltronic unit is effectively a hybrid solar inverter with batteries in a UPS shaped box. Nice simple solution in one box.

Nothing really comparable available locally, you'd be looking at a small hybrid inverter, battery pack and solar panel(s).

An alternative could be Flashfish A601 portable power station, it has pass through and UPS function, but its expensive at 430 USD, and Lazada does not have that version. I can only guess at what the import duty would be.

Also, they charge 170 usd for a 100 W solar panel, and i need 3-4 of them, seems a lot.

In all the payback time becomes too long.

Ecoflow also does UPS, but more expensive

Bluetti may be able, if you manage it right

Jackery cant

Anker maybe
