A Thai woman, dubbed "cyanide AM," is charged with 14 murder counts for a series of suspected poisonings. Her high-ranking police officer husband is facing fraud and embezzlement charges related to the murders.

 

Forensic officers discovered three sachets of potassium cyanide resembling tea bags in a car used by the woman, containing 15mg of cyanide each. which is enough to kill a person within 10 minutes. 

 

The mayor and a public works director in Pathum Thai have been charged with receiving bribes. The mayor reported to police after a victim complained of being asked to pay 500,000 baht above the expected price for registering land. The public works director was arrested while allegedly accepting a bribe.

 

A Thai woman in Pathum Thani  near Bangkok, reportedly used a charcoal stove to commit suicide with her 11 Poodle dogs. She was found dead in her SUV, with her dogs also deceased in the back seat. A charcoal stove was found in the car boot, suggesting she used it to cause carbon monoxide poisoning.

Laos: The murder of a young Laotian pro-democracy activist has shocked civil society and urged authorities to investigate. The 25 year old victim, known as "Jack," was an administrator of a Facebook page openly critical of the communist government and was shot twice at point-blank range on April 29.
