On May 3, the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) of the Central Investigation Bureau, led by Police Lieutenant General Puttidet Boonkrapue, Deputy Superintendent Police Colonel Wat, and other officers, conducted a search at a condominium on South Sathorn Road, Thung Mahamek Subdistrict, Sathorn District, Bangkok.

The search, carried out was based on a warrant issued by the Southern Bangkok Criminal Court.

The raid was the result of international cooperation between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Royal Thai Police through the Office of the Attorney General.

German authorities had informed their Thai counterparts that a German national, Mr. Christian, suspected of deliberate tax evasion, had fled to Thailand.

Investigations revealed that Mr. Christian was residing at the search location, prompting a request for cooperation from Thai authorities in the search for evidence related to the alleged offense.

During the search, officers discovered four notebooks and nine hard drives, believed to contain evidence relevant to the crime. The items were seized for further examination.

However, Mr. Christian was not found in any of the searched rooms. The investigation is ongoing.

Chasing foreign tax evaders indicates that all Thai citizens are uo to date on their returns. I shall sleep easy tonight.

Well done Christian, you've taken a bit of pressure off us Brits.

We've taken a bit of a kicking this past week or so.

Maybe, if they haven't already, the Thai government could ask the UK police to help locate and apprehend Boss Red Bull.

Kind of implies that not all the rooms were searched, doesn't it.

Is the RTP SO overloaded with useless brass that they have police Lt. Generals leading raids aimed at catching (but failing to do so) single expat alleged tax evaders?

And who was out the ignoring drunk drivers while all these Thai police brass were scouring the German guy's condo?

Wouldn't a team led by a police captain or colonel sufficed?
