Political activist Srisuwan Janya was attacked today (Thursday) by an elderly man at the Office of Election Commission (EC), after he had filed a complaint about the Pheu Thai party’s manifesto promise to make a one-time 10,000 baht digital money payment to every Thai national aged 16 and over.

Srisuwan was talking to the Press after his meeting with the EC when the man, whose identity is not known, approached him and slapped him once on the face.

The incident caused a commotion among the members of the media, but the assailant did not flee and told the media that he had struck Srisuwan because he files complaints on almost every issue and he wonders whether the activist might have been hired by somebody.

Good for the elderly man.

I have no doubt that Political activist Srisuwan Janya will run crying to the media once again.

Does he not realise how disliked he is?

But assault and public humiliation is uncalled for and unnecessary.

He does put himself out there a bit... does he complain about everything or just certain parties?

The problem with <deleted> such as this guy is that they have absolutely no understanding of how big a <deleted> they are.

Well it certainly got the Germans out of France, plus a few other countries I could think of.

So when will the Election Commission ban the Pheu Thai party from the upcoming election??

On what grounds?

IF they try, it will be after the election results (heavily modified) are published.
