ok, sorry that this is another visa topic, i thought i knew what was happening, but i have read many

posts about this new visa law that i am getting confused...

i will lay it out bluntly.

I am british national

1. i had a non-b from penang 20th oct 06 which was transferred to a WP up until 28th april 07, i have now finished my

contract and i am not working.

2 i got a 30 day visa from cambodia- May 29th '07

3 i went to china 30th May'07.. and come back to thailand 22nd Jun'07

4 i got a TR in china, 2+ 1 month ext , which will take me up to sept.'07

what is my next step?

will i have to leave for 3 months? or is there a way to stay here for a longer period of time?

i have an income from the uk, so i need not work.

any advice or help will be much appreciated.

The rule is 90 days on visa exempt entry in a six month period. You have used 2 such days so can either go out for new 30 day entries or obtain new tourist visas (which do not count against the 90 day rule). Tourist visas are recommended as entry is easier and you can stay up to 3 months with only one border run.

Does this mean i could stay here for a year just by getting a TR every 3 months?

No. The period is defined as six months - not 180 days. So there would have to be some time spent outside of Thailand for that to work.

thanks for the help,

does this means i have another chance to get a TR for 3 months and then leave Thailand?

and how long would i have to be out?

You can get any many TR visas as they will issue you. There is no days in Thailand limit with a visa entry.

If you plan to use visa exempt you have to be aware of the six month period (starting from entry on visa exempt) that you do not exceed 90 days using such entry.

30 day entry permit is not a visa, so only 90 days out of a 6 month period. ( think this what Lopburi was trying to say).

Others are visas 60 + 30=90 days as many as you can get issued will work.
