does a us passport need a transit visa for travelling in turkish airline to BKK

 I dont have any plan go outside of transit area . my fear is if there are any kind of terminal issues where i have to change terminal  .  my flight reach 5.20pm in Istanbul and departing flight to BKK is around 1.45 AM

Good luck, dont see many people going west coast USA to BKK via Europe. Taking the long way. Did you get such a good deal you took the long way here?

If you have one ticket and one airline you will be ok

I did this two months ago, no need for a transit visa. You should consider a stop in Istanbul, it is a cool city.

i dont think it is a good deal  maybe just new normal . around 1100$

Is that round trip? If, so that's a good price at this time.

We paid almost double that recently.
