AliExpress will not accept my credit cards..

Recommended Posts

Hi..

Having trouble purchasing stuff from AliExpress

I'm using TTB and Krung Thai cards.

Never seem to go thru.

The problem could be on either end.

I have other cards but don't want the risk  as they have bigger balances..

I have managed to buy small stuff a couple of times (up to 1000b) but that's all.

Purchases in question are around the 8-10k baht.

Can't speak to card issue but 8-10k would seem a confirmation amount so perhaps that is an issue - know when I used US debit card for more than few thousand baht get a verification code to enter direct from bank prior to its being approved.  But have not used AliExpress for years as once they took over Lazada most items because available on that platform without 1-2 month waits for shipment.

Maybe already done, but have you checked in your banking apps that online payments are set to enabled.

Aren't the cards supposed to work irrespective of your apps?

Not so long ago we didn't have any apps.

I will check anyway.

For withdrawal from an ATM yes, but with the increasing security for fraud nothing surprises me anymore, and when I do online payments I disable the card for online payments immediately after the payment has gone through

Not an answer to your question, but I use a K-bank online debit card which is the replacement for the previous K-Web online shopping card.

I use it on Aliexpress and several other websites for making purchases without problems.

Maybe see if your bank(s) do a similar card.

Also. Have you checked if you have set limits on your cards?
