Residents of Lopburi province have reported a well-known local entrepreneur for allegedly defrauding them of millions of baht under the guise of a charitable investor. The victims claim they were lured into investing and purchasing shares in the perpetrator’s ventures, but were left with unpaid debts and empty promises.

Today, knowing the businessman by his work in the community and the photos he shared with high-ranking military officials, multiple victims sought legal action. The accused had framed himself as a philanthropist, volunteering and donating food, money, and other necessities to the public. Victims were enticed and convinced that the perpetrator was trustworthy, hence they invested and lent money to him.

When they began to demand repayment, the victims were met with refusals and threats, including declarations of his connections to powerful policemen. In response to the Lopburi fraud, the affected individuals filed a formal complaint with authorities, emphasising their desire to seek criminal charges instead of financial reimbursement, expressing concern that the accused would continue to deceive others.

In what way was this entrepeneur philanthropic? Seems he was a taker not a giver.
