Security departments are investigating a group of activists calling for a public referendum on the establishment of an independent, Muslim "Patani State" in the South. 


The National security secretary general said They will look at whether or not the group is linked to separatist movements,
The general re-iterated that a referendum into an independent state is against the law and against the constitution.


Move Forward Party incoming MP Rang-siman Rome has called for a deeper investigation by the Inspector General's Office regarding a senior police officer who withdrew an arrest warrant for a senator accused of money laundering and aiding a transnational criminal organization. Mr Rang believes this withdrawal may be an attempt to interfere in the case.


The Move Forward party plans to take legal action against those involved in altering the minutes of an ITV shareholders meeting. The alleged tampering aimed to prevent Move Forward leader Mr. Pita from becoming prime minister. A video circulating on social media shows the ITV board chairman stating that the company is currently inactive due to a pending court verdict. However, the submitted written report, which accompanies the company's financial status, has been found to be doctored.

 

About 100 people in yellow shirts gathered outside parliament yesterday and submitted a letter asking senators not to vote in support of any political party with anti-monarchist policies. 


The Senate committee chairman said : on behalf of all senators,  they would adhere firmly to their support for the nation, religion and the monarchy. 

 

Health authorities warned that Thailand has seen an alarming rise in the number of cases of dengue fever, Some 19,000 infections have been recorded so far this year resulting in 17 deaths, this is  4.2 times higher than for the same period last year.

Indonesia's Constitutional Court is set to rule on a request to change the country's voting system. The case, filed by politicians, aims to bring back a closed ballot list system that was eliminated in 2008. However, most factions in parliament oppose the change, considering it regressive and undemocratic.
