Yeh, its too difficult to pick just one.

Some of mine include:

- Kill Bill

- American Beauty

- Matrix

- Pulp Fiction

- Bridget Jones Diary

- Old School

- Dead Poets Society

- A Beautiful Mind

- Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

- Just about all movies that have Johnny Depp or Will Ferrel or Adam Sandler in them

edit: forgot The Big Labowski. Cant be forgetting that!

There are so may good movies around, here are a few of my favourites;

- Ice Cold in Alex. Great film, and a great ending with the beer scene.

- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Reminds me of the first Psych hospital that I worked in. Brilliant acting from the cast.

- The Shining. A real scary film.

- Killing Fields. Can't help but feel moved by this story.

- Hotel Rwanda. Another great film of the misery that humans heap upon other humans.

- Man on Fire. A great kick ass film.

- Good Morning Vietnam. Robin Williams at his most funny.

- Life of Brian. This was banned in Cinemas in Cornwall for being blasphemous!! Even though it isn't at all.

Apologies to some of the other movies that I have left out.

In no particular order:

The Man Who Would Be King

Excalibar

Zulu

Lord Jim

The Invasion of the Body Snatchers (original version)

Dr. Strangelove

Psycho

A Night at the Opera

Emmanuelle II

Sanders of the River

The Meaning of Life

The Gods Must be Crazy

What Ever Happened to Baby Jane

Blow Up

The Year of Living Dangerously

Henry V

Blackboard Jungle

And many more

Very hard to choose....

- Usual Suspect

- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

- Scareface :-)

- Full metal Jacket

Tarantino's, Oliver Stone's, Kubrick's... and so much more...

Transformers - last week

Transformers

Die hard 4

Rush Hour 1,2 and 3 comming soon!

Bruce Lee Movies

Jackie Chan Movies

- Life is beautiful

- Tears of the sun

- To end all wars

among many others

Witness for the Prosecution with Deitrich, Laughton and his wife Elsa Lanchester and Tyrone Power.

Impossible to have a favorite, too many good ones out there (and WAY too many bad ones). Not being overly accomodating/collegial or anything, but pretty much everything listed above would make my top list (except Adam Sandler movies, sorry). Just like to add Groundhog Day, and The Princess Bride (not for the plot so much, it's just eminently quotable).

The good, the bad & the ugly.

Snatch.

The Usual Suspects.

Rambo 9

very difficult to pick just one, would say Usual suspects just shades it as my favorite

'The Sound of Music' for sure - it was the first movie I ever saw

Did anyone see Fractured with Antony Hopkins? I thought it was very good except for the very end.

The wizard of Oz for sure. 36 years old and still sh1t scared of that witch!

Star Wars (the first one) - 30 years later and it's still a mighty flick.

No one mentioned Robert Altman's Short Cuts yet...A movie well worth watching!

Gladiator

The Sound of Music

Monsoon Wedding

Snatch

The Lion King

Billy Elliot

The Colour Purple

I know there are loads of others that I just can't think of at the moment.

The Blues Brothers :o - "we're on a mission from God"

Forgot about that film, has to be the best car chase ever.

for me its gotta be:

godfather 1 and 2

memento

dead man( johnny depp)

pulp fiction

life of brian

and so many more,

i dont it feels like, lately not many movies came out, who will be considered classics in the future.

regards

Timo

I feel the same way about modern music

Between a poster's avatar & their film selection Simund Freud would have a field day drawing up a personality profile from the answers listed in this thread. :o

Soundman.

Number one, without a doubt, would have to be Apocalypse Now.

However, the Sound of Music and the Wizard of Oz certainly deserve honorable mention.

Don't have a favourite, I have a few!

Alien

Raiders of the Lost Ark

The Descent

Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2

Uncommon Valour (Set in Thailand!)

Sin City

300

Paint Your Wagon! (Clint and James Coburn Sing!)

Blues Brothers

The Perfect Storm

and the soon to be released: ThaiVisa: The Expat Saga :o
