My situation is that i have a non o visa based on marriage to a thai wife and my renewal is coming up, i was confident of the required documents until i called various immi offices who each seem to have their own rules (or just no idea) why is that does anybody know?

i got the visa due to my wife proving she had more than 40 000 baht a month income although they still wanted to see bank details. Now this time will the visa get granted just by proving she has more than 40 000 baht a month income? do they or should they still want to see bank details as we havnt got much money in our account now.

I was under the impression it is 400 000 in the bank with proof of income, 40 000 baht or more of income from either party or a combination of the two. If they do want to see bank details then why? and will it be denied to the fact of having no money in there?

thankyou

for your help

A bank account and letter of account balance has long been a standard requirement for extensions of stay and expect it is just a formality. The deciding factor will be proof of tax payments to prove the 40k income. The requirement is 40k family income - there is no requirement for 400k in bank (and in fact that can not be used by new applicants).
