A woman in Sri Racha was arrested and charged for allegedly operating a pyramid scheme that cost the victims over 32 million baht in financial damages.

On Sunday, July 9th, police officers arrested the suspect only identified as 33-year-old Ms. Natwarin at the Rangsit Railway Station in Pathum Thani province on an arrest warrant issued by a court in Samut Sakhon province in 2015.

According to the police, Ms. Natwarin was the operator of an online pyramid scheme. Under a disguise of a fake bank employee, Ms. Natwarin enticed people to invest in the scheme while promising them that they would receive higher-than-normal interest rates as returns.
