Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt’s son Sanpiti has offered a public apology after his harsh criticism of the Move Forward party and its supporters backfired.

He branded the party’s supporters as “bratty teenagers and disobedient children” and criticised the party of lacking feasible economic policies and more.

Sandee launched his tirade on his IG account in English from abroad. Some of his criticisms included:

- The Move Forward party will never succeed in amending Section 272 of the Constitution, the lèse majesté law or in getting its leader, Pita Limjaroenrat, elected as prime minister.

- The Move Forward party did not win a landslide in the May 14th general election.

- The Senate and the people in general don’t care about the party’s protests or complaints.

Farmers want policies that earn them increased revenues, not gender ideology or “woke performative bull***t.
To sum up, “nobody wants you in charge, only bratty teenagers and disobedient children.”
“Your party is only two years old. What have you done in the last five years? Lawsuit after lawsuit. Your top three executives are banned for a decade, and Pita may end up with similar fate.”

He attends/ed University of Washington, maybe he graduated and will be attending grad school?

It's weird that he used the word "woke", which no one in the U.S. can define. Not sure if it resonates with Thais?

He has a physical disability (hearing impaired) which limits his ability to express himself. So he probably just blew his top and went on a childish rant.

He's from the aristocracy so he'll get a pass and heaps of praise for apologizing.

His father should explain to him that the landslide MFP did win was in Bangkok. They won all but one federal seat. Dad should update his CV because his prospects in the next election no longer look so good

I am wondering how old he is. His father is Governor of Bangkok and I can't believe at home they never speak about politics...However he may have a own opinion of course

I agree with his rant, but he still must learn a man who tells the truth, needs a fast horse.

What is wrong??:

The Move Forward party will never succeed in amending Section 272 of the Constitution, the lèse majesté law or in getting its leader, Pita Limjaroenrat, elected as prime minister.

True

The Move Forward party did not win a landslide in the May 14th general election.

Well that is wrong 38% is a landslide

The Senate and the people in general don’t care about the party’s protests or complaints.

True

Farmers want policies that earn them increased revenues, not gender ideology or “woke performative bull***t.

True

To sum up, “nobody wants you in charge, only bratty teenagers and disobedient children.”

Mostly true

“Your party is only two years old. What have you done in the last five years? Lawsuit after lawsuit. Your top three executives are banned for a decade, and Pita may end up with similar fate.”

Also true

Also true

1. True, agreed. Winning by 10-15 points is considered a landslide.

2. The people clearly care - a NIDA poll done within the last 2 days stated that 43% of Thai people want Pita to be put forward again and again until he is successful in his bid to become PM. Senators clearly care as they are suing people who defame, abuse, or talk about them and their families.

3. True, agreed. However, I don't think anyone can point out any 'woke, ideological' policies from the MFP, so in this case, I think the accusation is false.

4. How can this be mostly true, if they won a landslide election to literally be in charge of the country? Don't be silly.... it's obviously false!

5. FALSE. The party is only 2 years old? How on earth can this be true? Pita has been in opposition for the last 4 years, so this is what he has been doing. The MFP was actually formed in 2014 as the Ruam Pattana Chart Thai party, and has changed names twice. Lawsuit after lawsuit.... isn't that what happened to MFP (or FFP as they once were known). They were not the party suing everyone, they were the party who were sued and had to rename to MFP.

This is coming from a pup who is set up for life thanks to daddy and his friends? Perhaps he's a tad worried what might happen to his cushy number if things change here in Thailand.

Of the landslide what % were first time voters? Specific districts? Specific cases like 212 etc…

It isn't as if what he said was untrue, but politically, his father may have to work with MF.

Seriously h90 you needs to get some new drugs…they’re clearly not working

University of Washington... enough said!!!
