webfact
A blaze ignited within the Pacharagit Building of Phra Mongkut Hospital, necessitating the immediate intervention of emergency teams to transfer patients in severe condition. Eight such patients were relocated, a mission which spanned just over an hour. Preliminary findings point to an electrical malfunction as the root cause. The ordeal unfolded at 18:18 on the evening of July 23rd. The local fire brigade, bolstered by a water tanker and the altruistic efforts of Ruamkatanyu Foundation volunteers, converged on the scene swiftly, reported Thai Rath. However, dense smoke had filled the building, prompting the introduction of large fans to clear the air. In a collaborative effort, the hospital's staff and the rescue crews shifted the eight gravely ill patients to the Chalermphrakiat Building. While the current consensus blames an electrical glitch, a comprehensive probe will soon be launched to determine the definitive cause. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-07-24 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m.
