Former Ang Thong school director appeals for legal help

Thaksin faces 12 years in prison upon his return from exile

Phuket Airport to create area for all registered taxis to pick up passengers

The General Manager of Phuket International Airport has confirmed plans for an area where all legally registered taxis can pick up passengers. In a 3 page statement described as a “clarification”, Monchai Tanode responded to a formal complaint from Move Forward MP, Somchart Techathavorncharoen.

Ex-cop wanted in vehicle theft of Kanchanaburi soy milk vendor: More suspects sought

A Thai court issued a warrant for the arrest of an ex-policeman, now identified as one of the alleged perpetrators in a violent vehicle theft. The victim of the attack is a local 25 year old soy milk vendor who was tasered and abducted but ultimately managed to escape his assailants.

Herb collector saved in 16-hour daring mountain rescue operation in southern Thailand

A high-intensity rescue operation managed to save the life of a 55 year old man from a precarious mountain fall in the Chao Pra Mountain, located in Trang province in southern Thailand. This formidable rescue mission, which spanned 16 hours, was carried out by more than 30 expert rescue workers who found the injured man within a crevice on the mountain, due to a fall while he was collecting forest herbs yesterday.

Charter Court to consider ombudsman’s petition on August 3rd

Thailand’s Constitutional Court has scheduled a meeting on August 3rd to consider whether to accept for consideration the ombudsman’s petition for the court to rule on the constitutionality of the July 19th decision by parliament, by a majority vote, to reject Move Forward party leader Pita Limjaroenrat’s renomination for the prime ministerial post.

State and BMA hospitals will open as normal on July 31st holiday

For the convenience of patients, especially those with existing appointments, hospitals operated by the Ministry of Public and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will open as normal on Monday July 31st, even though it has been declared an extra public holiday by the cabinet.
