3 Held In Seizure Of 32kg Heroin Heading For Australia

THREE suspects were arrested after police found over 32 kilogrammes of heroin hidden in hollowed out wooden crates in which jade stone statues and other auspicious objects were packed for shipment to Australia, Amarin TV said today (July 27).

One of Thailand’s largest cinema operators, SF Cinema, has introduced Chinese subtitles for its screenings. This marks the first time that Thai cinemas have offered Chinese subtitles, which will be welcomed by a significant number of Chinese nationals who visit and reside in Thailand.

A kratom vendor discovered the dead body of a homeless man lying naked and covered in faeces on PMY Beach in the eastern province of Rayong. The murderers were suspected to be a group of men hanging out on the beach before the discovery.

A recent announcement from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) suggests dramatic changes are underway for Thailand’s capital city. The notable shift to laying 1,454 kilometres of electrical wires underground is reportedly expected to take place over the coming decade, in an ambitious effort to streamline electricity provision to the three provinces in the Greater Bangkok area: Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan.

House and condo prices in greater Bangkok rise in past two quarters

The prices of new houses and condominium units in and around Bangkok have steadily been risen in the past two quarters of the year, due to higher land prices, increasing prices of construction materials and higher labour costs, according to Wichai Wiratkaphan, acting director of the Real Estate Information Centre of the Government Housing Bank.
