Protesters Urge 8 Coalition Partners To Not Switch Sides

DEMONSTRATORS joining a rally called by the Labour Network for People’s Rights at Ratchaprasong intersection last evening (July 27) urged the eight parties in the Pheu Thai-led coalition to clarify if there are any conflicts and not switch sides, TV Channel 7 said.

The demonstrators also urged senators to listen to the people’s voice as they had to endure over nine years of rule by the current government.

By 6.30 p.m. the protesters had completed setting up a stage at this intersection with the leaders taking turns in giving speeches.

Every tree starts with just a seed. Give it time, the genie is out of the bottle.

For the scale of what has just transpired, the response has been pathetic!

Patience my friend, patience.

Alas it is self interest and the status quo and not the people's will. This whole thing was very well planned by the military junta. If the election saw PTP with a landslide victory the same would have happened. They would not have been allowed to take power. Now they will get into bed with the very same elites that would have dinied them to form a government. The only way forward now is to overthrow the entire establishment. The next so-called government will replace the senators next year with more generals and Thailand will remain under the control of the military. Very sad times for Thailand.

Partners To Not Switch Sides [sic]

split infinitive. maybe the tnr staff should go back to school... or learn to write. errors like this cause others to repeat them thinking they are correct

should read 'not to switch sides'

Perhaps most Thais have other things more important to themselves. They are debt slaves with no time to worry about who should run the country.

Off topic,  but that's what I would have thought. I've seen suggestions from some with more knowledge on the subject that split infinitives aren't necessarily a bad thing.

Either way I agree with their point of view and hope they can all stick together to create a better future.
