Road Collapse on Tak Route Due to Heavy Rain

Tak - The Tha Song Yang - Ban Mae Tawo - Sob Moei route experienced continuous heavy rainfall, resulting in road collapses, urging commuters to remain vigilant against potential accidents and landslides.

 

On August 6, 2023, the heavy rainfall from a tropical storm caused sections of the road on the Tha Song Yang route in Tak province, passing through Ban Tha Song Yang (Ban Mae Tawo) Moo 1 - Ban Mae Jwang Moo 8, Tambon Tha Song Yang, before reaching Ban Mae Amgai, Tambon Mae Waluang, Amphoe Tha Song Yang, and onward to Sob Moei, Mae Hong Son province, to gradually collapse, reported Siam Rath.

The road is at risk of further damage if heavy rain persists. Commuters using this route have requested immediate action from relevant authorities to address the situation and prevent further potential impacts and damages. They are urged to exercise extreme caution when traveling on this road.
