jaffas21
Hi ive been offered a job in Vietnam, the only problem is my wife has two guinea pigs, all the importing pets articles are all talking about cats and dogs and vaccination certificates. I know its a long shot but does anyone know the regulations for taking small creatures into vietnam (ones that dont have rabies) guinea pigs are classed as exotic animals in Thailand where I am at the moment thanks, I presume you need some sort of import licence or something, but not sure how they could be considered dangerous. Im considering travelling overland through laos into vietnam as its safer for them
Sigmund
What does the embassy say ? Anyhow, all the retirees in France or Switzerland who mooved to Vietnam (and not Thailand), are delighted. The visa issues are much more smooth and the Consulates or Embassies abroad dont' harass for notorised copies on every document like Thailand.
farangbuffalo
I believe guinea pigs are considered a delicacy in Peru
Highlandman
Travel by land via Cambodia, keep the guinea pigs out of sight and let a local on a motorcycle carry them across the border once you're at the Vietnam border gate? Pay him handsomely for the service.
