Bangkok Police issued an order prohibiting public gatherings within 50 meters from  parliament, from 8am this morning until midnight on Thursday, the ban is ahead of tomorrow's session when MPs and senators are due to.. vote-in Thailands 30th  prime minister.

Health authorities say the number of cases of influenza is three times higher this year compared with last year with just under one million cases reported so far.
