A distraught mother is seeking justice, claiming that local police in Ayutthaya abused her adult son. She explains that police arrested her son on theft charges, and then physically abused him while he was in custody. She alleges that they even forced him to admit to a rape charge.

Meoy, the 59 year old woman raised concerns about her son’s well-being since his arrest and the subsequent allegations. The mother residing in Nong Suea, Pathum Thani, demands legal justice for her 34 year old son.

Meoy said she had been highly worried since her son Anek’s arrest and was under extreme stress, unable to eat or sleep. She was trying to gather bail money while being unsure of her son’s actual guilt.

She was beyond disturbed when she learned that her son had been physically abused at the hands of the police. Upon seeing her son’s condition, with swollen, bruised eyes and various injuries across his body, she lamented the treatment in custody.

Well, by and large they are just poorly trained thugs who don't know the laws and who buy their way in or have family members already in the Police force.

Rotten from top to bottom and it won't be changing anytime soon.

RTP's interrogation techniques, bags over the head, beatings, jeez I wouldn't last long I'd admit to anything if treated like that. Such wonderful training init.

Next they'll sue the mum and GF, for tarnishing the RTP name.

I experienced a similar situation many years ago when I lived in North Thailand. A young member of the Thai family was accused of murdering a Malaysian relative. After arrest and interrogation, he confessed to the crime. During the trial, which I attended, it transpired that the confession was obtained at gunpoint. The trial was halted and the accused released. Later investigations identified two Laos "contract killers", one of whom was arrested, found guilty and imprisoned. The other "did a runner" back to Laos and is, to my knowledge, still free today.
