Does anybody know if the typical alcohol ban during elections will also apply when the draft charter is put to a referendum on Aug.19?

Ha Ha Ha,

the reason why I raised this topic is because TV is planing a great BBQ party in CM.

if the ban is effective it will be from 6PM Aug 18 - 12PM Aug 19., meaning the party will be a very sober one.

I only tried to bring this to the attention of the TV party organizers.

Well . Thats a good one . Very good one actually !

I think because it is free TV buy it beforehand , no alcohol selling does that also means no drinking ?

I remember that the bars are closed on those days , you have a very good point Opal :o

of course a party is OK without alcohol, but the TV invitation states free local beer!

Rats. All this preparation and I still get found out within minutes after arrival. :o

But err, guess no free local beer, you suppose this was intentional? :D

Sorry, but :o

I'm still trying to get information from the university staff members, but no luck in confirmation yet.

I guess this party could be regarded as a private (by invitation only) matter. This would mean treading the very fine line of the grey area of the law.

But the fact the party is in CM I would not count on a lenient interpretation of the law by the authorities.
