A Royal Command has been issued by His Majesty the King and published in the Royal Gazette approving the line-up of the new cabinet led by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.

 

The cabinet comprises:

Deputy Prime Minister and Natural Resources and Environment Minister

Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister

 

• Puangpet Chunlaiad
Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office

The cabinet of...... poorly selected ministers, with backgrounds that are doubtfully for the job they have to do.. But alas. This is Thailand 2.0 and wondering why everything is going back instead of forward

not impressed at all, pretty much the same as before with many of the cabinet members have dubious backgrounds.... Anutin as Interior minister, he already filled up the pockets with the Covid vaccine deal with China, lately with the weed what else will it be this time, new bridges, fast trains, ???   GOD have mercy

I don't think so. 

Boom boom face still there, and at the ministry of interior. Difficult times ahead for whiteys..

The May election achieved absolutely nothing. The people voted for change and their voice was ignored, denied and usurped by the junta/elite. Everyone who voted for change has been betrayed. The biggest betrayer is PT. They went to bed with the enemy to get Thaksin back. This will backfire on the party big time. Sadly the opportunity for Thailand to advance as a country has been denied by a minority who's interests this would not advance.

As noted earlier the Senior One had been out of it for years.

Hmm, particularly as, let's face it, hers was the face on the mind of the vast majority of those people who voted for Pheu Thai.

 

Still, I suppose that they are used to being ignored, poor saps; just came round a bit quicker this time - there are certain deadlines looming...

I 100% agree but unfortunately freedom isn't free, there is a price for it that must be paid and if a legal path is not available through rampant corruption then another method must be found

 

If you are unable/unwilling to find a way then you must accept that the establishment will continue to bugger the populace as without major change that will continue just as night follow's day....

I think this and other views here are too black'n white.

 

Yes, not ideal. Yes, MFP should be running the shop but instead they're in the retraining program, absorbing lessons for next time. They'll do much better next time.

 

As to the new government, Yes there are some old personnel, the most egregious being Anutin. But the Two Uncles are out of the picture (in Prawit's case still with a symbolic-only role as the now-temporary head of his party but not in the government). There are many new faces, not least the entirely new PM (new to the parliament as well),  and the whole system has been given a shock & a shakeup it wasn't expecting. To conclude from all of that that 'nothing has changed' is fainthearted at least and generally blind to what is now a more complex reality than before, with plenty of room for change and reform.

 

But still some blind areas relating to the Constitution. To be handled with some delicacy over time ... However the speed with which the PM & Ministers were blessed by the Palace might suggest some high-level impatience for the government to get on with the job.
