I wasn't really sure whether to post this as a new topic or as a reply to the person asking about ADSL in Thailand but I guess it qualifies as a new topic.

I have been using CSLoxinfo and a TOT ADSL line for about 3 years now and have been happy with the service so far. However all this has changed this last week.

Last Sunday my connection speeds dropped to about 9 Kbps (slower than a 28K dial up modem). I contacted CSLoxinfo and, to make it short, after 3 days of phone calls back and forth CSLoxinfo decided to contact TOT about the quality of the line as CSLoxinfo registered a lot of errors and drop outs on my line. The next day I was informed by CSLoxinfo that TOT could find nothing wrong with the line and therefore they would call me and arrange for a technician to come to my home and solve the problem.

Two days later I hadn't heard from CSLoxinfo so I called them only to be informed that they decided not to call me as TOT had problems with ADSL. I asked them why on earth 2 days earlier they said that there were no problems only to be told that "TOT only checked the voice lines and that they have had problemsin the 392 area". I asked what could be done about it but couldn't receive a clear answer.

I have also tried to contact TOT but can't seem to get the right department.

Now I have been using dial up for 1 week. No one seems to care or is able to help now.

I am thinking of installing True and using them as a provider despite the high cost. Any suggestions????

That was one of the main reasons why I changed from TOT's ADSL service to Cat Telecom's wireless CDMA
