Have You Ever Been Luminous?

Featured Replies

a couple of decades ago while I was in a go-go bar or something in pattaya a few of the bar girls there notified me that I was glowing under the ultra violet lights!.....nobody else seemed to suffer from this but It freaked me a bit at the time,.....it wasn't until a few years later while I was talking to an aussie chap about this that he said the very same thing happened to him!.....I can only think we might have taken the same tablets which were all the rage at the time.....nothing illegal....just tablets to avoid some or other afflictions.......anyone else with similar story or an explanation....?

I had heard that there was a brand of sunblock you could buy that had a similar ingredient to what glow in the dark body paint has. Can't remember brand names but maybe that was the source?

?...mmmm...sunblock?...maybe!

Sunblock does reflect UV rays so it would make sense.

I'll have to put some on and do some research at a suitable establishment. :o

Don't let it surprise you too much. There are many chemicals in ordinary soaps, etc, that glow under ultravoilet light (black light). When I was a kid we used to take laundry detergent and cover ourselves in it and play in the dark with the black light on.

that would be optical brighteners

the OP may have worn a shirt that had optical brighteners on it that rubbed off onto his skin hence the glow effect....enlightened now? :o

These tablets I was referering to, they like the hillarious Rigsby sketch did have another side affect of turning your pee-pee blue!.....Ishould add.....

No sorry it was a deep orange red color pee-pee, I apologise....not blue that was the Rigsby sketch!

LSD tablets could make it appear that you were glowing under ultra-violet lights.

They could also make your pee match just about any color in the rainbow...... or at least make it appear as such....

No, never tried LSD!.....

LSD in Go-go bars is real trip. :o

I used to "glow" there too, think they put something in the Beer Chang!

I just read in the paper about a guy took too many pain killer tablets and when he had a blood test his blood was avacado green , freaked the nurse out big time

Stop dancing with the dancers. That way there will be no transfer of luminous paints! :o

Bayer made tablets that flushed/disinfected your bladder and urinary tract, I took one about 10 years ago and it turned my urine bright orange.

there the ones pampal strange eh!......but did they turn me luminous too?

Gin and tonics glow under U/V. Didn't much like the way it makes some people's teeth look greenish.

Sounds like Pyridium, a urinary antiseptic also marketed here as Urosed. Urine turns red and you can take on a bluish tinge. It can have an effect on the haemoglobin in the blood. Not good.
