kyb789
Since there is not much to do in Bangkok.. Other than sit around air-conditioned shopping malls (because of the heat). I was back in California and silly me didn't pick up one of those monster 5,000 pc jigsaw puzzles to fill my time. I've looked hopelessly around bangkok and the only thing I can find is for children. Anyone seen such a thing here and where? Much appreciated.
toasted
The toys section of Central Bangna has had them, but I don't know if they're still there.

ProThaiExpat
I was a devoted jigsawer and have completed over 50 since I have been in Thailand and my walls are covered with framed scenic ones and the ones of famous places I have visited. Since they are high quality jigsaws, few notice they are that, I do glue them after completing them. However, I live in Chiang Mai and except for jigsaws of Buddha and the King and Queen, I was unable to find any of any decent size or subject. I suspect the same is the case for Bangkok. I ordered mine online from a U.K. company and most from Australia. Five day delivers from OZ but you do have to pay duty sometimes. They are light so not much postage. My major score was to have them delivered to my daughter in Sydney and when I visited, I unpacked them from their boxes, cut out the top cover picture and put some 20 in my luggage. Once you have done a quality jigsaw, you have no tolerance for cheap or badly cut ones so pay attention to the manufacturers when you order. I found that one half of a ping pong table makes an excellent workspace as it tilts up at any angle you prefer. Pinp Pong tables are available for 3k baht or so and well worth the money if your going to being many jigsaws. They are on wheels so fold up against a wall when not in use. PM me if you want the websites that I found that gave me the best service and promo offers. I am into Tall Ship model making now. Same problem with supply so ordered them online as well. One shipment came through without duty the other charged me duty. Edited July 17, 2007 by ProThaiExpat
