August 6, 2025Aug 6 Got my state pension reinstated after about ten weeks of fighting with the DWP. My pension was reinstated about a week ago, and since then, I have had two emails saying they need my full name, date of birth and Nat ins no. I had given them all that info back at the beginning, so what is the DWP actually playing at? Is it just downright incompetence or what?
August 6, 2025Aug 6 If you fell into the clutches of ipc they will not let go,better if originally went thru govt gateway scheme,no pol

Gateway scheme,it is good, pensions driving licence etc. . Change your address UK ,Spain, anywhere. Set one up with friends relatives etc,or make one up, they are cheap enough, then hopefully the switch to unfrozen will be automatic,no explaining to ipc,if u have to,.. get back paid for money owing

In this connection I find it surprising that DWP are asking for your national insurance number since their standard line - thus far at least - has always been that national insurance numbers constitute sensitive personal information which should never be openly disclosed in emails. EDIT: pol, I think, stands for proof of life.

August 13, 2025Aug 13 Think you will find the DWP set august 11 as date for checking individuals bank details, needs resetting with .gov.uk,making sure no unnecessary payments being made
