Hi all. A bit of info please.

I've just been advised, due to flight time change, I'll have a 6 hour stopover in Manila. I've heard it's not a great airport. Is it worth exiting the transit lounge for a wander, look about, or better stay put in transit ?

Any recent personal experiences ?

If you don't have business lounge then you will have to sit on the bench seats they have .

 

 I wouldn't go out you will get stuck in traffic and heat 

 

Better to just sit in the airport 

If it's Ninoy Aquino Airport terminal 3, walk out the front door, across the car parks, across the main road, down the soi on the left of the Sheriton, turn right and there you have the Newport Mall which has plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee shops along with a casino. English movie complex as well.  About 1/2 Km walk. Also a few fast food joints on the way.

 

I always go there if waiting for a flight.

Which terminal are you flying into?

Thanks for reply. Have already travelled. The stopover was way tooooooooooooooooo long. The initial booking was for 90 minute stopover, I feel that's not much of an issue. Ended up being a tad over 7 hours. Not happy Jan !

And what did you do for 7 hours?

Wandered. Looked at others in same prediciment. Contemplated, life & why I had decided on this trip. As in Philippine Airline flight as to direct flights. Beat myself up on such a crazy decision. But most distressing... no beer available to transit travellers. How's that old song go.... I will survive..
